We are pleased to announce the completion of a major structural milestone at the Glowing Star residential project, our 10-floor development rising in Kalabria, Prishtina. The lower reinforcement zone of the 1.2-meter thick foundation slab has been successfully installed, setting the stage for the next phase of concrete casting.

This foundational reinforcement layer is critical for the safe distribution of structural loads and the resistance of tensile forces, ensuring the long-term stability and performance of the building.

Key Technical Highlights:

• High-ductility B500C steel rebars, Ø20 mm and Ø25 mm, have been used to provide enhanced strength, seismic resilience, and energy dissipation capabilities
• Reinforcement layout follows the approved structural detailing, with precision-aligned grid spacing and secure tying
• Max Frank 50 mm bar spacers ensure consistent concrete cover, compliant with Eurocode 2 (EN 1992) for durability and corrosion protection
• Reinforcement is placed directly above a polyethylene separation membrane, maintaining a clean and stable base for the concrete pour
• Special attention has been given to overlap lengths, anchorage zones, and connection integrity, reinforcing the slab’s ability to bear heavy loads over time

This zone forms the structural backbone of the entire foundation system. Its proper execution is essential to achieving a robust, long-lasting, and code-compliant base for the entire superstructure.

With this phase complete, we are one step closer to pouring the main slab another key moment in bringing Glowing Star to life.
